Milo Winback
Automated win-back emails after cancellation, with a one-click resubscribe link and a come-back discount.
Installation
- Install and activate the free Milo Subscriptions plugin.
- Upload and activate Milo Winback (Plugins → Add New → Upload).
- Enter your license key under Subscriptions → Licenses to enable updates.
Configuration
Email cancelled subscribers a come-back offer with a one-click resubscribe link. The sequence stops as soon as they subscribe again, and each customer only gets one win-back cycle. The renewal discount is applied by the Subscription Coupons add-on.
Under Subscriptions → Settings → General → Winback:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Send win-back emails | On/off switch. |
| Send after (days, comma-separated) | Text value. |
| Come-back discount (%) | Numeric value. |
| Discounted renewals | Numeric value. |
The sequence
Configure the days (for example 7, 21, 45 after cancellation) and the offer (first-payment discount plus a recurring discount for N renewals). Each customer goes through at most one winback cycle, so nobody is nagged twice.
The resubscribe link
Links are signed (HMAC) and work without a login: they rebuild the cancelled subscription’s cart, apply the offer, and land on checkout. If the customer returns, the remaining emails stop automatically.
Measuring
Sent/returned counters are kept per campaign, and milo_winback_returned fires on a comeback so Slack or Analytics can celebrate.
Developer reference
milo_winback_returned— Fires when a cancelled customer resubscribes through a winback link.
