Configuration
Sequentially numbered, printable invoices for subscription orders and every renewal. Customers can enter a VAT number at checkout.
Under Subscriptions → Settings → General → Invoices:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Generate invoices | On/off switch. |
| Invoice number prefix | Text value. |
| Seller details | Company name, address, VAT number. Use |
| Invoice footer | Legal mentions or payment terms. |
Numbering
Numbers are sequential across sign-up and renewal orders (pending or failed orders never consume a number). The counter lives in the milo_invoices_counter option; set it before launch if you migrate from another system.
Customer access
Invoices are linked from the order confirmation email, the view-order page, and the subscription page (all related invoices). Each link carries the order key, so invoices are shareable with an accountant without a login but not guessable.
VAT numbers
A VAT number field appears at checkout (classic and blocks); the value is stored on the order and printed on the invoice.
Developer reference
milo_invoices_numbered— Fires when an order receives its invoice number.
