Milo Trials Pro
Friction-free trials: card-free sign-ups per product and a one-click trial extension for customers.
Installation
- Install and activate the free Milo Subscriptions plugin.
- Upload and activate Milo Trials Pro (Plugins → Add New → Upload).
- Enter your license key under Subscriptions → Licenses to enable updates.
Configuration
Card-free trial sign-ups are enabled per product (“No card required for the trial” on the product). The one-click extension below lets a customer push their trial end once.
Under Subscriptions → Settings → General → Trials Pro:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Allow customers to extend their trial once | On/off switch. |
| Extension length (days) | Numeric value. |
Trial types
Free trials (X days, then the regular price) and paid trials (a small first payment, then the regular price) are both per-product settings. The product page shows the trial terms automatically.
Abuse protection
A customer who already consumed a trial (same account or same billing email) checks out at the regular price with a polite notice, no support tickets needed.
Conversion
Trial-ending reminder emails use the core Reminders engine; the pre-renewal notice from Milo Compliance (if installed) also carries the exact first real charge.
Developer reference
_subscription_trial_length / _subscription_trial_period (product meta)— Core trial fields Trials Pro builds on.
